TradeByText (“the Service”) is a business administration platform for UK tradespeople. It provides WhatsApp-based quoting, invoicing, payment chasing, job management and related tools. The Service is operated by TradeByText Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
The Service is available under two subscription tiers:
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time; changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.
New users receive a 14-day free trial with access to Starter plan features. No payment card is required to begin the trial. At the end of the trial period, you will be asked to choose a subscription plan to continue using the Service. If you do not subscribe, your account will be paused but your data will be retained for 90 days.
We review our subscription pricing every 6 months. We will provide at least 30 days' written notice before any price change takes effect. Price increases for existing subscribers will not exceed 10% in any single review period. You may cancel your subscription before any price increase takes effect.
You may cancel your subscription at any time via WhatsApp, from your web dashboard, or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain full access until then. We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except during the first 30 days of a paid subscription (see our money-back guarantee).
We store your business data (including quotes, invoices, customer details, job records and expenses) on secure, encrypted servers. Your data remains yours at all times. You may export your data at any time via the web dashboard or by requesting it from us. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
TradeByText uses Meta's WhatsApp Business API to send and receive messages on your behalf. By using the Service, you agree to comply with WhatsApp's own Terms of Service and Business Policy. We are not responsible for any changes Meta makes to the WhatsApp platform or API that may affect the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we strive for reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeByText Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including (but not limited to) loss of profits, business interruption or data loss. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any material changes via WhatsApp message or email. Your continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
